1956 Chevrolet 210

We’re proud to say that this was the first restoration by YCC. Russ McDonald had purchased this car in Texas and brought it to us for some cosmetic issues. Once we started into the project the decision was made to go frame-off and restore the car ground up. The frame was sandblasted and powder coated for a lasting, clean finish. The underneath was sprayed with a high quality protectant for years of protection against road debris and wear. The 283 was freshened up in house and is mated with a 4 spd manual with a South Bend Clutch. We added power rack and pinion steering, a disc brake conversion on the front, and Vintage Air A/C. The flashy red and white paint combined with the howling gear drive makes for a real head-turner.

1969 Camaro SS

Client: Don & Florence Combs

This is a show stopping, completely customized resto rod.  We did the typical body work one would find on a car of this age.  We pulled the frame off, powder coated the frame, and undercoated the car.  We then joined the body and frame back together and powered it with a Lingenfelter LSX motor (LS1 modified). It featured a Detroit Speed front clip, Detroit Speed 4 link suspension, and a 9 inch rear end.  From the outside, the car rumbles with its fresh motor and custom fabricated dual exhaust  by YCC, but inside it is nice and quite thanks to the Dynomat sound damper.  The dash also was modified with a Detroit Speed gauge insert with auto meter gauges.  Custom painted accents were added by JR Ryman of Ryman Designs.

1932 Ford High Boy

This was a fun little project brought to us by referral. Essentially this is a kit-type car based on the 1932 Ford High Boy. It is powered by a 350 crate motor sitting on a frame that we blasted and powder coated. The body was fiberglass outfitted in a sleek black and bright green with a brilliant orange pinstripe. JR Ryman of Ryman Designs brought his touch in with hand designed Von Dutch Style Pinstriping and V-8 insignia.

1966 Bonneville

This particular car’s story is amazing!  Marta Klotz purchased a 1966 Pontiac Bonneville brand new as an 18 year old young woman. She drove the car for many years and later parted with it in the 80′s. In the early 2000′s she and her husband Devon Klotz decided to find her a classic car. Of course she went back to her first love which was her ’66 Bonnie. After some searching they finally found the car that fit the bill. While ‘she’ was colored a dull red instead of the buttery Candlelight Cream colored car of her youth, the interior matched perfectly. As they were deliberating the sale of the car, they noticed a little bit of yellow showing through on various parts of the car. After a little investigation work they came to determine that they were in fact looking at the very same car that Marta had purchased years ago. From there the deal was sealed. The Klotz’s purchased the car and then decided to bring her to YCC to restore her to her former glory.  Marta and Devon have proudly displayed the car at many local car shows in the area. In fact they even took 2nd place in the Pontiac Nationals in 2010 in the P-4 Class 66-70 and were just fractions from top honors.

1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Club Victoria

The story of this restoration comes from our client Jim Nolan, “I chose a 1957 Ford Fairlane to restore because my Grandmother taught me to drive with one similar to this in 1959. Chad Yoder, of Yoder Custom and Collision in Milford, IN did the frame-off restoration for me. I was involved with the entire restoration except for the body and paint—for that I just paid the bills.

The theme of the restoration had to leave the car in stock configuration but with performance qualities. I chose a 1963 engine with mild performance and a transmission capable of delivering over 20mpg during highway use, while incorporating a low-geared differential for drag racing qualities. I have ended up achieving my goals. This is the car I would have died for when I was a kid and it’s as every bit of fun now as it was in the early sixties.

While this car has won over 100 plaques and trophies over the years, the most rewarding year was 2010. This 1957 Fairlane took 1st place in the 57-59 Ford Full Size class at the Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA. This Fairlane also won three Best of Show Awards in 2010. I know of no other classic car to achieve these honors and be driven every day to collect approximately 15k miles a year.”

1973 Corvette Stingray

Mike & Elaine Stull are Corvette enthusiasts who brought us Mike’s 1973 Stingray. Being a mechanic, the car was mechanically in tip top shape, it just needed some cosmetic rehabbing. He uses this as his frequent driver throughout the nicer Midwest months. It was a straight forward restoration and anyone who works with fiberglass knows what a challenge it can be. We think the car looks great and so do Mike and Elaine. They proudly display their Corvette’s at various car shows in the area.

1966 Pontiac GTO

This 1966 Pontiac GTO came to us as a good straight project. We did some fit and finish work to take it from good to great. Unfortunately we do not have any pictures of the car outfitted with nice wheels after it went to the interior shop, but as you can see from the photos that we do have, it has the potential to be a real head turner.
